Can't go wrong with the green stuff. But if you're concerned about buildup from different chemicals found in the off the shelf stuff with an aluminum engine then you may want to consider a coolant without any borates and phosphates. I'm personally using toyota red coolant in my sr20det.

only a few $ more & u can get the new yellow prestone stuff... 5 year/ 100,ooo mile change interval if used w/ distilled water.

walmart sells distilled water on da cheap. flush w/ chemical and tap water, drain, use 2 jugs of distilled water to rinse out the sytem on second warmup-cooldown cycle, then prestone/distilled water mix was my formula for a worry free cooling system for 5 years....

I woudl recomend either HONDA Type2 blue coolant OR Toyota red stuff. Now honda stuff is mad expensive, but i strongly belive its best out there. Reason for Toyota red is it does not have any Silicates(dont know how to spell it) but due to that you have less to none corrosion around pipes hoses go on. But its kind of a pain switching to Red since you have to flush it with water several times.

Bottom line any coolant is fine as long as you change it on time but i accept nothing but best for my car.
