If you have the SL and are using the AUX port, there's a long slot between the seats that seems the perfect place for an iPod. If I'm remembering correctly it's right in front of the power port. It works really well and seems the perfect shape to hold it fairly steady so there's no rattling like could happen in the cupholder. It's also much more convenient should you have to charge your iPod.

I bought a very useful device that holds a phone or ipod (or pda), but... it uses a cup holder. Damn.

You know what? I share the same despair when it comes to cup holders. My girlfriend always has her water bottles in most of mine and I don't even use my iPod in there, but I just know I don't have space to do so! lol

I bought an iSqueeze (which sits in my cupholder) it cost $8 and holds it secure and out of the way of possible water in the bottom of the holders.

I realize you wanted it out of the cupholder... but maybe this helps?

Used velcro to hold it in place, now i have the integrated cable to run it directly through the HU so it sits down by the handbrake now. This spot worked great while i had the stock sl HU.

oooh WOW thats cool. thats a really good idea.

will the stick on Velcro mess up the dash?

the reason i dont want to use the cupholder is because thats where i put my GPS unless i can find a better place for that. its a Garmin Street Pilot C340.

Well, i am using PSP for music in my Versa, and just put it on the passenger seat.....and my friend also play car racing game (Initial D) when i driving, and the sound came out from speaker, that was fun...felt like i driving in the game.

Is anybody using PSP for music instead of I-POD??

No, the velcro didn't mess up the dash at all. It pulled of clean and then just used some armor all to make it look nice. I picked up the vlcro from office depot. The little sqaures, scotch brand. Each one is supposed to hold 5 lbs. I used 2 to keep it secure. I also used this on my motorcycle helmet. Have an mp3 player that i have attched to the helmet with all the wiring running throughout. My point is its strong and no residue.

KK....I have the Belkin TuneDok and the Belkin Auto Kit (w/ the line out)...I also buried the wiring under the center console and kick panel on the passenger side...I'll try and snap some pics...it looks hella clean and it works fantastically. I've spent $50 on the setup and it kills the Griffin TunePort Aux that I had...it's quiet and it doesn't kill the audio. I LOVE MY STOCK SYSTEM NOW. I have the rockford deal too.

Yes, I am using my PSP instead of an Ipod. I can play movies music, a passenger can play a game and I even spent the 56 dollars to get the GPS adapter for the PSP. I have a holder that has one of the big suction cups and it holds pretty well.

I have it stuck to the silver plastic trim that is just below the airbag on the dash.
