I was driving to my 9:25am Intro to Art Class at NKU... On the way to class I was listening to the radio but not really listening, I heard something about planes hitting a building but didn't pay much attention and ignored it. I got to art class and my teacher was in the front of the room crying. She had pulled a TV into the classroom. I got there in time to see the second plane hit. I saw what was happening and just froze. I remember thinking this cant be real, it can't be happening. When I left class it was such an eerie feeling... looking up at the sky and not hearing or seeing any planes.
I went to work later that afternoon to find out some international students in one of our classes had stood up and cheered when the teacher announced in class what had happened. Nothing angered me more than that moment. Some people have no respect. Those students had come to or country seeking a better education, seeking a better way of life, better than what they could get in their country. No one twisted there arm or made them come here and they showed no respect, no gratitude, no thankfulness, they just sit there and cheered at a horrible event. In defense to other immigrants I know that all immigrants are NOT like that. Just like any other human being, American or not, some people don't care about anyone but themselves.
