Where to wire autometer electric water temp gauge?????

Just wondering on the ka24de there is the coolant temp sensor and a smaller sensor next to it. On the coolant temp sensor there is a black and red wire and the sensor next to it is just a single wire. Im trying to hook up a water temp gauge and just wondering which wire I need to tap into to get the correct reading because so far I am having no luck???

Please if anyone knows let me know ASAP because I dont have a working temp gauge and cant drive the car without it

well if your temp gauge isn't working maybe you have a faulty sensor, in which case it won't give the autometer gauge a signal either

but if its a bad gauge, then the Autometer will work

Im 90% certain its the single wire one..... atleast I'm 100% certain it is on the DOHC ones and we have pretty much the same setup
