New to the group and recently thought my high school sweetheart to rekindle my love with the 300ZX. I'm thinking I want a project car but don't have a clue as to how to get started. Thanks for you time and thought. I look forward to your responses.

Broad question. First issue to resolve is funds, how much do you have to spend? Second is how much can you do yourself. The more work you can do yourself the more you'll be able to afford so the worst of a car you'll be able to pick up. Figure those out and you'll at least have a good idea of what you should be looking for.

One of the best pieces of advice I was given, when it comes to buying a new car/project, buy the best example you can afford. When I bought mine 10 years ago, I couldnt find any good examples locally (in UT) and ended up flying to Vegas and driving one back. I honestly think you would enjoy a SUPER clean well maintained NA over a beat to s*** TT. My two cents.
