i purchased a 2007 350z....im looking to up grade; intake, exaust, headers etc. i used to be strictly mustang, this is the first import i have ever owned, so i am going by the mods i did on my mustang. i am open for advise on where to start and brands that have been proven to work for you guys. i place myself and car in your knowlegeable hands. i did to some research on dual cold air intakes....fujita,aem & stillen seem to stand out. any advice will be greatly appriciated

For intakes those are al good choices. I think Apexi makes the intakes too. I like the HkS for exhaust and Nismo for headers. M ake dure you go with a true dual exhaust.

Right now headers and test pipes are hard to find for an 07. I am running into similar problems in that reguard. As I was told on my thread get a true dual exhaust, from what I understand if you cant afford the titanium HKS one then get an exhaust with an H or X pipe like the borla, or stillen (how factual that is I dont know, but its what I was told by the guys at my shop). For actual numbers I talked to a guy with an 07 just the other day who had the HKS and said he gained an extra 14 whp just from that mod. I have a stillen exhaust myself but I dont have the numbers but if what I hear is right I should have gains in about the same area. For an intake I hear that NISMO's spec R and the AEM systems are both the easiest to install and give you the most gains. THe fujita one from what I understand fits but is a little bit of a pain to install while stillen's is probably the easiest but will only give you 2 to 4 hp gains. Keep looking around you will find what your wanting but it may just take a little bit of time to come out.

Congrats on the 07 Z. I am using the Stillen intakes with chrome intake pipes that I made myself. The intakes use the factory ram air effect that gives your Z an additional 6hp at 60mph on top of the 6hp gain from the Stillen intakes. Plus the Stillen intakes use a heat shield. They do not look as pretty but should perform better by blocking the engine heat. I have also installed a set of new 07 Crawford Z high flow cats. I do not have HP numbers on these but they make the stock exhasut sound deeper and I can feel the difference in acceleration. Next I will installl the Greddy true dual Evo2 exhaust. Good Luck with the mods.

DeepBlue sounds good post some pics of it when you get a chance. I thought the pipes came with the exhaust.

You should check out the second post from the top, its called before modifying your Z, it helps and is really well written along with true. That might answer alot of questions you have, it did for me.
