Run from the battery through the grommet where the brake or fuel line comes through the wheel well. You should see a plastic cover in the wheel well which covers the brake and fuel lines, this goes all the way to the back. Run the cable alongside these lines under the plastic cover. Right around the differential there should be a grommet where the fuel line goes up to the fuel tank, all you have to do is run it through there into the trunk.

This also depends on what gauge cable your using, I used a 4 gauge.

i NEVER run power cables on the outside of a vehicle. i've seen it done, but in a fluke accident, a live wire outside the car could be dangerous. Even though it has a fuse. I ran mine (4ga) through the main harness boot on the passenger side, which ended up being a total pita (more than a little bit) but it's safe inside the vehicle. Just be careful not to cut/damage any harness wires. And taking out the blower motor (3 bolts, not tooo bad) make getting to it a LOT easier. Then down the Pass side, under the carpet, remove rear seats and run through rubber boot/grommet on rear bulkhead Pass side.

you can run your remote and SUB rca's with it as well, saving a little time and having everything enter the trunk at the same location. Run any 4ch RCA's down the opposite side to avoid noise.

British sports cars with rear mounted batteries generally run their battery cables under the car with no protection at all. Works for almost 50 years so there really should be no problem(This car was also in an accident and has almost 300k miles). This is on a car that is much lower than the Q. If you were close enough to damage this cable you will also hit the brake and fuel line so its probably never going to happen. You are less likely to get interference from the electric field generated in this cable. To me having such a high current cable next to the main harness doesn't seem like a good idea, at minimum I would run it through a new grommet.

Like I said, this is covered by the a plastic piece all the way to the back and this channel is on the floor pan, so the the chassis rails will be hit way before this. I understand your concern and respect it, the way I proposed is by far the easiest way to run it to the trunk. If you got in an accident you would have other wires/cables and harnesses to worry about rather than this one going to ground. Plus you have undercoating which will pretty much insulate the floor.

This is specifically all MGB's + GTs ever made which numbers almost 400,000 ever made with really no problems, at least not with the battery cable :) .

There is a hole near pedals that amp wire fits through. From there cables can be ran under door trim to back seat, and into trunk.Running that way for years no problems.+plenty of screws for ground.
