EX37 - Compass in the mirror?

Just got my 2013 EX37 with Premium/Journey package. My 2010 had a compass in the mirror. The 2013 doesn't. It appears the wrong mirror was installed. Is this possible?

No, neither did/do. Both were ordered Premium/Journey.

very strange. I 'thought' I read that if you don't have navigation, your mirror has a compass. I would check with your dealer since you got a new EX.

My thoughts also. I had the same connfiguration (Premium/Journey) on my 2010 and it had the compass in the mirror. Based on what I see for options, it should be there. Me thinks the wrong mirror got in the vehicle somehow. I've sent a note to the dealer.

If the mirror has a compass, there should be a button along the bottom of the mirror to turn the compass off and on. I will have a "N" on it with an arrow.

So far how do you like the 3.7 L 7 speed on the EX37? I test drove one a year ago and I kinda like it, Ihave an 08 Ex35 with no GPS but with compass in rearview mirror.

I quite like the 2013 EX37. I compares well to the 2010.

JohnD - I have confirmed there is no switch and no compass in this auto-dimming mirror. I'm now being told by the dealer that it was removed for 2013. The information out on the various Infiniti sources is very ambiguous and misleading. I am not impressed to say the least as I was told the only changes were the engine going from 3.5 to 3.7 litres. The discussion with them isn't done yet.

Infinit Canada markets only one version of the EX37 instead of separate models. All come with AWD.

It boggles my mind that Infiniti could opt to remove a feature (the compass) that has come to be seen as standard over the past several years, especially in this class of vehicle. My gut is telling me that this is a marketing decision and they are trying to push you to the Navigation package which I find unacceptable. Auto manufacturer GPS systems, in my opinion, are woefully inadequate, become dated quickly and typically cost big $ for updates. They cannot compete with the Garmin's of the world. Hell, I bought my otherwise loaded up 2011 Corvette Grand Sport without the GM GPS.

Through 2012, the Premium package in Canada included 'auto dimming rear view mirror with compass'. For 2013, they have dropped 'with compass' from the wording. For someone like me who was told by the dealer the only change from my 2010 to a 2013 is the engine size, I would have had to put the spec sheets side by side to compare line by line. And even then, highly doubtful one would pick up on the absence of those two words. (Turns out the tire size has also changed from 18" to 19").

The Navigation package is a separate option in Canada.

Always, always put everything in writing everytime the dealer promised or says something. When I bought my EX35 , they sold me a maintenance package, lady said all synthetic oil use every all change. She also told me that my hood protection film includes the full bumper. I signed the paper and when they installed the film, they said it was just the hood and side mirrors.
I fought them and won! They installed the full bumper film for the price of just the hood. The only thing i cannot fight for was the synthetic oil she promised.
I have no proof!

Even buying a used car, make sure dealer signs that car was not modified and back to stock parts. Bec. the "As Is" clause of buying used wont even cover the extended warranty they sold you , bec. the car was modified and back to stock.
That issue normally come up if powertrain has problem.

Though I think it's really cool, I don't find the digi compass very useful. Maybe because I often forget it's there. I do love auto dimming mirrors though and it still works with my tint.
