Hi everybody, I have my Rb26 in the car already. I was just wondering where to mount my Autometer fitting for my oil pressure gauge? Should I remove the stock oil pressure sending unit? Since the car is s13, there is no oil pressure gauge from the factory, right? Then there is no need for the stock oil pressure sending unit?

Thanks in advance

The S13 has a sensor light, but no gauge. I haven't ordered this yet, but courtesyparts has an adapter you put between the motor and the stock unit to allow you to hook up the aftermarket gauge.

Hard to beat 10bucks.

That T that NISMO_RB25 is talking about can be bought at any Lowes, HomeDepot, ACE, etc. It is a 1/8" NPT T Fitting. Then all you have to do is get a 1/8" NPT Male to 1/8" NPT Male Fitting and you are done. No more than 3 dollars, and you don't have to pay for shipping.

very true, I am just boycotting all stores until after Christmas, so it is worth it for me to shop online.

IT HAS TO BE 1/8 NPT TAPERED FITTING ON THE BLOCK SIDE.

wrong, the threads in the block are metric pipe thread, 1/8" BSPT. You cannot find BSPT fittings in most stores. Mcmaster does sell a 1/8" BSPT male to 1/8" NPT female adapter for like $6, but you might as well buy the one from courtesy for only $10 (unless you plan on getting rid of the factory sensor)
