Where to install an oil temp gauge

Ok I know it goes off the temp sensor but where on the ca is that. I think I have a EDM motor because its a little different from a JDM one and there is no oil cooler on it so I cant put it there.

On my motor (that looks like it has a similar water to oil cooler as the one in your 1240 miles.... thread, if thats the motor you're meaning) there is a hex screw in the side of the oil filter holder that looks good for a temp sender.

most companies suggest to install it in the oil pan, but i have mine in an oil filter adapter. I'd recommend that, or in the stock oil pressure port on the block that is just to the right and down of the oil filter.

Oil Pan, or in a port on a sandwich plate adapter for an oil cooler.

i had mine in the oil pan till my 20$ greddy drain plug broke... now i dont have it hooked up for now lol till i figure something out.
