i have them powered by a wire stuck in one of the fuses. i think the fuel pump. but every once in awhile the wire burns out and they shut off. so i have cut the wire a few times and stuck it back in but i'm growing tired and i'm sure something else might get messed up because of this. so where/how can i hook them up permanently. oh and i need them running all the time. my kae-t has no problem getting to temp. in this miami weather. thanks.

wire a relay into the system....like this.

the wire from your fuel pump can stay, and turn the relay on (when the car turns on), then the ground (from the relay, the fans also need their grounds.), then a power wire from your battery, then a wire to the fans. the relay will have a diagram of which terminal goes to what.

i think theres a relay on there. because the wire(and a few others) comes out of a little black box.

i need a better diagram, or pictures to get it figured out though. the signal wire (to your pump or something) should not pull enough power to fry the wire.

you can use a 12 gauge or was it a 16 gauge? wire to hook up to the battery directly with a ring terminal. be sure to connect it with a fan controller though. Winter's coming around and leaving an electric fan on all the time is nuttier than grandmas fruit cakes.

ha ha ha cool no winters. well you can run a distribution block from the back to the front and have the power for the fans running to that distrubtion block.

Or you could buy a temp control unit for 20 bucks and wire it straight up to a constant 12v source. This is what I did and it made things much easier. I can adjust the fan kick switch from anywhere from 160-220 degrees.

well i guess since no one else knows where it is at, ill tell you. the relay box that is on the left hand side of the vehicle hasa blue wire thatcomes out of the ACC relay. tap into that and use that as your 12v power source, as long as your key is turned your fans will be on.andrun the ground wire anywhere you see fit.
