Since the CA is in my corolla, the tach is not working. so i have a 5''Autometer monster tachometer that i am going to have to use, do i run it to the wire that you hook up a timing light to? or is there somewhere else?

Also is there any setting on the tach that i need to change?

Not to be an jerk, but I think I've told you that there is a link to the FSM in the stickies at least twice.

That information is READILY available in the FSM. Please do some work for yourself.

No the FSM tells you where the tach wire comes out of the ecu and goes to the stock cluster.

Your directions for your gauge, or the autometer website will tell you how to set up your gauge.

well the autometer website it down so i cant look there and i am pretty sure it is vehicle specific what you set it to. i found out that the tach in my LS2 powered 71 vega GT needs the tach to be set to a 4cyl signal. so i figured some guys might know here.

That's a-typical. Set it up for a 4cyl and you should be fine.

As far as how to do that, IDK. Are the dipswitches not labeled?

i dont see any switches on it. i have tried taking the back cover off a while ago with no luck actually getting it off. im going to check it out tonight. i think my brother told me there is 2 wires in it that you have to cut. one for 6cyl and the other for 4cyl but i dont know how much i beleive that.

Hmmm, that sounds odd. I've wired up a few different tachs (none of them were autometer) and they all had a switch/switches/knob you set to control how many cylinders it needed to look for.

The autometers haves two little wire loops in the back, you dont have to remover any covers. I believe you cut both of them. but im not positive.

You cut both loops for 4 cyl.
