dont use stock bore or u will end up hunting for blocks...just go .20 over and in case u brake something u can use any block and just bore itnelson8708 wrote:Looking for some ka24e forged pistons. I know turbo240 have them but they are .020 over. I am wanting stock bore. I found a few but they were 9:1 in the de and 8:1 in the E. That is a little to low, i want to keep it around the stock 8.6:1.
I think it is always best to buy matched sets of 4 pistons, cause they got to be balanced, isn't it?unless you want to balance the whole rotating assembly when you're done (which would be good as well)pr240sx wrote:Well, if you are looking for cheap Arias pistons, I have a set3 pistons for 120?Plus a new one from Arias at 115 and you got a forged piston set for way under 250!!!
When calling ARIAS they will ask fo rthe number stamped on the piston and send you a matching piston.I think that they are balanced but all depends on how critical are the numbers between each piston.Anyway, I prefer to balance the whole piston/rod/crankshaft assembly with front pulley and flywheel as a set.elpiar wrote:
