Where to get steel bung online?

My buddy is turboing his 'lude friday and we need a steel bung for his oil pan for a 5/8" hose

Any idears? I also want to switch mine from brass to steel so I can get it welded properly.

go to the hardware store and take a look there. you can just get a stainless nut and weld that to the pan. when i did the pan on my lude i just welded a big 1/2'' stainless nipple to it and it worked out perfect. prob do the same with the 240.

Go to home depot. I got a adapter there with tapered ridges on it made of steel perfect for the turbo drain. good luck

Home depot is an hour away, but it looks like i might have to make the trip. Only had brass at lowes. Lowes can go to hell and die

By the way node. I have (3) 370cc side feed injectors from a Silvia, used. Interested?

3 huh, well They would have to be priced appropriatly since finding a 4th would be difficult. I have been having trouble soursing injectors. Thats why I have only two 550s email me if you want to discuss it some more.

Anyway here is a pic of the pices I purchased at home depot. I think I spent under $2 I got a threaded bung that I was origianally intending to use but, then I saw this other coupler pice that had rigged edges for holding the tubing better. I plan on cutting that one in half or even smaller then welding that to the pan. The outer diamiter of the coupler matches that of the turbo drain fitting exactly and I will be able to use 3/4" hose with an ID of 1/2" cool huh?

BTW if its too big of a deal to make the trip I could pic somthing up for you and mail it to you. Or you could order a bung from mcmaster.

Nah, its not that big of a deal to make the trip. Thanks for the offer tho. I think we're gonna head upto Home Depot this weekend. Its a big city so Im sure we could find a steel bung somewhere and if not, find something that'll do the job.

In regards to the injectors. I have to find them, but id let them go for $50 shipped.

BTW: are you using the DSM manifold for the turbo lude? My friend used one on his third gen I think its the B20? engine. Only needed a little redrilling and grinding. That was cool.
