so I got an RB20det trans from JGY or McKinney can't remember and am wondering if theres any place that rebuilds the RB trans and or sells them rebuilt? ya so the one I got this thing and its way more f----'ed up than the one i replaced. It makes all type of gear noise/internal clunking, hard to get it into 4th gear and if the clutch is out in neutral you can really hear what sounds like the input shaft berings wining away until I put the clutch in, the one I took out only had that input shaft noise in neutral but everything else felt tight with no clunking I am now using the RED LINE synthetic heavy shockproof gear oil if that means anything ?

I will call these guys tomorrow > ill let ya know what they say........

change to superlight shockproof or 75w90.

if problems persist, CALL JGY lol they might warranty it.

eek, no mixing, drain it. And if I remember correctly, couldn't you interchange gear boxes with a KA / SR transmission? Swap bell housings or just get the rebuild parts for the KA transmission when a shop does it for you. Might want to look into that.

Good luck
