I am intrested in turning my s14 into AWD using the AWD drive train from a r34 gtr including the engine and 6 speed transmission. does anyone know where to purchase the parts that i need also what custom work needs to be done? Any idea as to what the costs would be??

WHAT ENGINE ARE YOU ADAPTING IT TO? CAUSE ITS GOING TO BE ALOT MORE WORK THAT ITS WORTH UNLESS YOU GET AN RB26.

SORRY MISREAD THAT. STILL ITS GOING TO BE ALOT OF CUTTING AND WELDING. I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU HAVE TO BEND THE PASSENGER FLOOR BOARD UPWARDS, PLAY WITH THE STEERING RACK, AND GET CUSTOM MOUNTS FOR CLEARANCE.

thanks for the advice. I am also going to convert the car to RHD while i am at it. Will I still have to bend the driver's floor board upward?? Also do you have any ideas where to get the custom mounts done??

WELL IF YOU GO RWD NO BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRANSFER CASE ANYMORE. CUSTOM MOUNTS YOU SHOULD CHECK INTO MCKINNEY MOTORSPORTS OR UNSTABLE HYBRIDS. THE AWD PROJECT WOULDN'T BE ALL THAT EXPENSIVE IT WOULD BE TIME CONSUMING AND ALOT OF CUSTOM WELDING AND FABRICATION.

I think he meant Right Hand Drive not Rear Wheel Drive, so I think he still will have to. This will be a damn expensive project! If you got the money though, Id love to see it finished! Good luck

OHH WHOOPS. YEAH EVEN IF YOU GO RHD YOU WILL HAVE TO BECAUSE THE CONVERSION WOULDN'T CONVERT THE FLOORBOARD AT ALL JUST THE FIRE WALL.

Please tell us what the expenses are :P And the prices..

And in the end.. basically what he has is a skyline which is FAR from street and emissions legal - and hard to return to stock again.

So with it being illegal to drive on the street.. why not just import a damn GTR, gut it, and use it as a racecar?

This is so funny. With the questions he has asked so far, I can tell he has no idea what he is getting into.

And since no one really has any experience with this project.. I'll bet alot of money will be wasted with trial and error problems building this car.

When I think of this whole project, I think "rediculous"...

I hope the guy is loaded and has his own shop with the tools and the time to fabricate stuff for this. Or else even more $$
