Xenon HID USA

This is their 3000K H3 Kit.

This is their 8000K H7 Kit

This is both of them together.

Is that a plug and play kit or will it need to be wired ie will it just plug into the factory harness?

H3 is plug and play. I do believe audtatious has done a write up on it for the 02-03 Maximas. Very informative.

The kits are not plug-n-play. You either have to splice into the factory harness or "convert" like I did.

The how-to for the HID install is on maximclub.com under the 5th-gen how-to section

So the factory harness wont plug into the balast... I thought thats what plug and play ment. Isn't that false advertisement? Well I hope my wiring skills are up to par. Did you get any codes from splicing wires, I've heard that not using factory connectors can cause issues.

So I looked at your write up again just want to be sure what you did. You cut the factory harness off the non hid assembly and attached it where the 2 prongs (cut off) from the hid kit were then attached it back to the factory conection ie car harness to hid harness?

You are welcome

I wanted to keep the factory wiring harness in tact so since I was having to replace my fogs with new ones due to the glass being broken I went ahead and sacrificed the new foglight harness to the cutter gods

So I ordered my kit got a good deal... I think. I did a little research on the kit and it seems to get good reviews from people on other car/bike forums but we will see check out the kit. I paid $126 shipped overnight so we will know by saturday how good it is.

i've got a VVME.com kit on mine and they look great. well under $200 and is plug and play.

only thing with them is, it looks like their temp colors are a tad under some others i've seen b/c i ordered the 120000's and they look like 100000's, but all you have to do is if you want more blue than white... just choose a higher temp than normal.

mine look like the newer BMW's... more blue than white. if you wanted a look like the TSX i'd get the 8000's from vvme

very easy to install.

I would suggest nothing over 6000k as the drop in lumens goes up exponentially.

The 8000K's and up put stress on your eyes. That's what I had on the setup I posted pictures of and it hurt my eyes. The way I could tell is at night I would turn off the headlights and leave my 3000K fogs on. When I did that, it felt as though I had relieved stress on my eyes. I now have 4300's and it is way better.

So I finaly got it wired up it only took me like 4 hours...lol Soldering is a real bi***. I wish I read all of audtatious' how to I would have had a much easier time using butt connectors and if I didn't forget to put the dust cap on before i soldered the wires together....twice!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna get them all in tomorow. Hopefully my soldering mess didn't f things up. I'll post pics. Wish me luck!!!!

I would suggest putting the car on ramps or jack stands when mounting the ballasts in the locations I used as it will make life much easier.

BTW, what marker bulb are you running? They seem to match OK based on the pictures from the front. I have PIAA SuperPlasma's and they are a greenish color for some reason.

They do look like they match but they are much whiter than my stock HID but here is the link. BTW they are super bright and I do like them very much even tho they don't realy match. I tried the piaa super plasmas too but mine were kinda a yellow orange color...weirdI'll post a pic of just the parking lights to give you a better idea of how they look.
