I need to replace my oil pan on my 1994 VH45DE. Anyone know where I can possibly find one other than the dealer??

Thanks

This seems obvious, but have you tried a junk yard. GS14racer might have an extra one. I know he had several parts motors at one.

Only problem with junkyards is no way to support the engine to drop the cross member and most yards sell complete motors, not parts, or they sit the cars right on the ground which usually crushes the oil pans.

I was hoping someone on here had an extra from a spare or blown motor and could help out an idiot who smashed their oil pan

Why not cut and weld?

Or you can look in the infiniti classified section.

If that fails then try your very best to convince the junkyard owner for the pan.

Looks like a replica of one of my pans after it made contact with the road going from dirt to concrete. Except mine ripped a gigantic hole in it and i lost enough oil in 10 min for my oil pressure gauge to start flickering. Needless to say i shut it down.

That pan is mangled bro..

that's what i thought to, but the last 3 pans I've seen pictures of all look the same. I already took it off and the sump if fine and there is no denting near the sump. The car it came out of ran fine before I pulled the motor(the transmission was screwed) so I guess maybe I just need to cut off the bottom and weld a new section on it similar to the SR oil pan so I can hold more oil.

Thats actually what i'm doing right now to mine... I've cut the bottom and raised it up so i have more ground clearance. Then i'm adding extensions off the side to increase the capacity. There will be trap doors on the extensions so the oil doesnt go and fill up the sides under hard turning. But because i've raised it up I'm cutting and relocating the pickup tube up to compensate for the shorter pan.

It actually looks like the section where the pickup tube sits has been largely unchanged.. The front of the sump got damaged the most. So i mean i guess you COULD use that pan if you REALLY wanted too.. might be a slight difference in oil capacity but i would just get a new pan.

ok so here's the pics of mine and i can't say that it's any better than the one you've got but just let me know what you think? i won't take it the wrong way if you say it's junk, it came off of a 200k plus motor!

I guess after seeing 3 peoples pans now, I'm just going to modify mine to make it shorter and wider. Will be cheaper than a new pan, and I haven't found a used one that isn't damaged.

Thanks for all the help.

Do you have any pictures of your progress?? I would be very interested in getting some ideas before I hack into my pan.
