Hey everyone, I have a little problem. I just bought my 240 about about 3 months ago and bought it for only $800 dollars. Great deal for the shape its in. But it has about 215,xxx miles on it. Well all the gaskets are pretty much warn. Adding oil every two days sucks.

Was wondering if anyone has any idea how to get the KA24De engine for a decent price. One that is not so over priced to where i might as well buy the sr20. Wish I could but dont have that kind of money yet. Sucks being only 17 sometimes. Thanks for all your help.

Man, you must be a big ole mother ****er...You need at least 3 people especially if the transmission is attached.

I'd say 3 people could do it easily. A used motor can be had for free sometimes around here. I would pay more than say 500 bux for a lower mileaged motor. My rebuilt longblock was 2100.

The absolute best way to get a KA is to hit up a shop that does a lot of SR swaps (if there are some where you live.) I got a 97 motor/transmission/harness/ecu for $450
