where to get alt tensioner bolt?

as said in topic.... i need both of the alternator tensioner bolts. NOT going to the dealer ship. ideas?

junkyard? ebay? courtesy nissan? craigslist/local paper for wrecked 240s.

What about making one yourself? Forgive me, I forget exactly what that bolt looks like but you could probably scab something together from the bolt bin at home depot. You could probably even make it from scratch using redirod if you have access to a welder.

Sometimes just go to a mechanic or muffler shop when they're not busy. They're car guys and usually willing to fab up something simple for cheap, if theyre not jerks.

My swap came with that hardware missing too. I just scrounged around my garage 'till I found a 1/2" head bolt long enough to fit through the bracket and alternator, with a locknut on the front side. It can be slightly annoying to get a wrench on the head of the bolt from the back side but it can be done.

also I always remove the negative terminal from my battery whenever i'm in there, because one time something zapped me when I didnt. not sure what that was about.
