I am planning on buying a 240 vert this summer and trying to get some ideas on prices and mods. I already have a ka24de engine and manual tranny to go in it. I was looking at adding a rollbar for safety is there any companies that sell already prefab rollbars that bolt in.

Iam going to get one from autopower for my convertable. There bolt in no welding for a round 3-400 bucks.

Keep in mind the Autopower isn't really a "roll bar".

It's more a harness bar, not designed for rollover protection (and not recognized by any racing sanctioning body).

I intend to add one to attach my seatbelts (since I've deleted the pillars and am about to delete the rear "hump").

Keep in mind you'll have to lose your rear side interior panels as well (or have a damn good eye for where to cut them in an oval shape).

I am looking for roll over protection. Nothing to serious like a cage but just a 4 point bar. I checked that website out. They have some that need to be welded in by any chance do you know if they are good for protection. If not I will just contact them

They're not.

You'll need at least 6 points of attachment for rollover protection.

BTW, a properly setup 240 is nearly impossible to roll. Not much need for rollover protection, unless you're racing.

You're in much more danger of a side or frontal impact, as it fared VERY poorly in crash testing.

I am not sure if it will fit a convertible but cusco sells a 4 point roll cage that looks cool and they say it is for increased safety and rigidity. It is sold at boost designs I am going to email them and find out if it will fit a conv.

Apparently they don't know what they're talking about. The floor pan is the same, there's no reason it won't fit.

I am adding one to my car (getting it from a local guy from his 89 Coupe) to use as a harness bar, and test-fit was fine.

Well between them and autopower... you looking to spend about $500 shipped for a good SCCA approved rollbar. Well worth it in my opinion.
