So I called up my local nissan parts dealer and asked regarding these parts and I was told they want 550 for the oilpump+Cover and I cant just get the oil pump.

So since they wanna charge me a arm and a leg where is a good place online to pick up these parts? I dont trust ebay so where else should I look?

In Puerto Rico we call them "Original" parts (genuine) and "Japanese" parts (non-genuine). Very often the manufacturers of the Japanese parts are the same that make the Original parts. They put the Nissan emblem on some of the parts and sell them to Nissan, who then charges us an arm and a leg for them.

I bought my Japanese water pump for $55 and my Japanese oil pump/front cover for $175. No problems whatsoever with any of the parts.

My timing kit is Nissan OEM ($315), so I don't know about the Japanese kit's price or performance. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply, did you buy these online or through a local shop? If online what site did you use?

Just go here:http://www.nissanpartswholesale.com/

And get everything you need. I think my water pump was $45 and oil pump rebuild kit was about $60 all together.. beats $115 from AMS and they're the same parts. hah.

BTW, there's nothing wrong with Ebay. Just make sure you cross reference the part numbers with another website.

I bought my oil and water pump from the dealer. Didnt have to buy a cover. I think it was around 220ish but well worth the money.

Will get quality from the dealer and thats what you want for those parts

maybe try http://www.courtesyparts.com/
