I have a 90 d21 with a 2wd ka24e. I recently replaced my bad transmission with a junkyard trans. The junkyard trans speed sensor had the threads completely broken off so I couldn't screw the speedometer cable into it. So I went to remove the one from my old transmission and the tab that bolts it to the trans ended up breaking off. For some reason I cannot seem to find this type of sensor. I can find ones for 94+ but not older ones. Any ideas on where to get one?
Or if I should maybe just weld the tab back on? I know that type of metal isn't really suited for welding but maybe it wouldn't be an issue since its probably not a high stress point. Any help is much appreciated.

If you try to pry them out by that tab, yeah, that will happen.
I'm guessing you did get it out though.
If you can get it welded back on square, it should be OK as there is no real load on it.
