Finally got my Y-pipe but have been so busy with work I wasn't keeping up to see if ebay still had the single muffler dual tip exhausts that were going for 175.

Just checked ebay today and there aren't any on there! Does anyone know where I can order one???

THANKS!!!

Why would you put an ebay exhaust on your 30K+ car?

Why not? From everyone I have seen who has purchased it, it's worked fine. It's just a muffler with some 2.5" piping. I am going to be changing out the tips for magnaflow stainless steel tips. It's cheaper than having an exhaust shop run a custom exhaust which would be the same quality. Id rather spend 175 on the full cat back exhaust, 100 on 2 magnaflow tips then drop 500-800 on the tanabe/magnaflow/borla. Already spent enough on this car. This is the last thing I am doing.

Eh, i already dropped enough on the stillen kit, intake, bullydog, hid's and I'm getting some springs next weekend. An exhaust will wrap it up for me. Trying to keep the whole thing around 500 including the Y pipe...

why would you even bother wasting your money on the ebay special if you're gonna replace the muffler with a tanabe/borla/magnaflow anyways? it's just not worth it. Get the axelback exhaust of your choice (tanabe and borla already have nice exhaust tips, so no money spent there), and just have an exhaust shop bend you some piping from the cat to your muffler. it'll cost you the same, if not less than the $275 you'd be spending on the catback and tips, and you don't have to deal with the crappy ebay muffler afterward.

Sometimes using money wisely does the trick. In this case I paid a grand total of $300 some dollars, including the $175 for the ebay exhaust, from start to finish, for a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust that is still working great after 42,000 miles.

BTW, ask Ranga14, the Nismo might sound awesome, but you get smaller diameter piping toward the outlets, about 1.25" diameter piping or something. ;)

I've checked sporadically on ebay, I have not seen the $175 exhaust again sadly. All there is now is the dual fart pipes, or something from Tanabe for $400 +$100 shipping.

Read carefully. He said he'll replace the tips with something nicer from Magnaflow etc., not the muffler, just like I did. The muffler itself is great, it's the bend and design (or lack thereof) on the outlet/tips that is in need of fixing due to their odd appearance and angle.

And I don't know of many muffler shops that do mandrel bent piping. The one near my place does crush bent, which is not the same.

"then" was probably meant to say "than"

i did. if you read it the way it was written, "then" implies it's the next step, while "than" implies instead of. it's a simple problem of internet grammar. good catch IBC

I made the same error, but then went, "Wait, that can't possibly be right."

You find me a tanabe/magnaflow/borla axleback for 175 w/shipping and i'll be all over it. They are more like 4-500 just for the axleback.

They don't have any more available :(

Guess I will have to go with the the axleback ebay exhaust for 135 w/free shipping and then have the exhaust shop run the pipes to the cat and weld on the magnaflow tips.

Problem is I don't want to pay for them to run mandrel bent 2.5 so I might just have them do the standard crush bend...it's alot cheaper and I doubt it will make that much of a performance drop...
