where to find lt1 engine?

my friends in new jersey with a v6 camaro and would like to put a lt1 engine with 6 speed in there. he's having trouble finding a place that sells engines so i was wondering if any of you know? I'm going to check a local junkyard, but a reputable place like we have for sr20dets is what i'm looking for.
