Welcome to the forum!

FWIW, I kinda prefer the grill the way you have it already! Why do you want to change it? (This is a curiosity question, not a zing.)

Isn't that stuff on ebay jsut stickers? I think the photo you posted w/ the ebay stuff was made on a computer. You can see where they messed up the lines.

There are some neat wire mesh grilles out there in Japan (Autech and Impul, I think) but for the life of me, I don't see why anyone would want one of those fawning imitations of a British hood ornament that are so popular on the JDM Cima and Presidents.

I like that. Is that a stock emblem? The emblem on the Japan Nissan site looks like some big tree thing that sticks up real high like on a benz which this one does not have. Also this is the only whatever-gen Q pic I can find that looks anything other than stock. Has anyone seen that body with wheels, and does it get rid of the nasty front wheelwell gap? I am guessing those are 20s, but I think the site says the biggest they come is 19s which look wrong unless it is photoshoped?

ThanksDave

Welcome Bigbody!

I can get you that grille, but the last time I checked it was around $500.

Our current 2002 Q45 grille is more of a black chrome color.

In 2003 they changed it to all chrome, like this:

2002 on top, hard to tell in the pic.

Also from 2002-2003 they made the trunk bar all chrome, instead of the 2002 "brushed" look.

2002 on top, again, hard to tell.

Lastly, from 2002-2003 they changed the inner housing of the headlights from silver matte, to a shiny chrome inside.

2002 on top, hard to tell in pic.

Do you think the 03' grill is a better upgrade rather than going with the Cima? I saw another white, but 03' today and noticed the differences in the headlights and grill but none of the other changes.

I have a few other questions (sorry) but don’t want to look stupid for bringing any of these in for service:1. Why would my tire pressure gauge not work?2. Are the front seats supposed to have a loose/rocking feel like they have a spring on them?3. When the navi lady talks back to you does she only talk from the front passanger?4. My driver mirror goes absolutely retarded and won’t stop clicking when I put it in reverse and if that mirror adjustment knob is clicked to the L.

Other than that and the color of the wood I absolutely love the car.

Thanks again in advance,Dave

1) Dealer needs to address. Actually, I think the monitor on the Q only tells you if one is low, and even then doesn't identify which one.2) No - See dealer.3) See #2.4) Your mirror is trying to "dip", or tilt down so you can see the curb when backing... Nice feature - Does it do this when switched to the right? You may have it set low already, OR it's not functioning right. See #2 and #3.

p.s. Jason B has ALL the colors of wood available through his company. Swap out that wood (visit http://www.burtmanindustries.com) and you'll be a happy camper.

BBQ... Head over to http://q45.org/hosting.html and I'll hook you up with an account. Otherwise you just email the pics to [email protected] and I'll post them here. Or follow the link in Rex's signature to upload them to NICO's Members Rides section.

Cant wait to see it!

Sorry for the delay. My account got messed up due to the hack and now I'm back and can post.

WEll, the 2003 grille is identical to the grille you have now, but is all chrome. Much shiner and stands out more. I think it's around $100 vs $400+ for cima grille.

1) It's possible when the dealer changes the tires, they didn't sync the sensors back up. There is a special tool for this that only the dealer has.

If you read your manual it says the order of the tire pressure readings can't be linked to a certain tire.

This is not true! After the first day of owning this car and many more, I tested this when driving. I let air out of one tire at a time, and it works in a clock-wise pattern.

While sittin in the vehicle, the top number on the screen is the front right tire, the next number down is the rear right tire, the next number down is the rear left tire, and the last number on the screen is the front left tire.

They really need to correct this in the manual. It's a little misleading and you CAN TELL which tire is low. I don't know why this isn't mentioned anywhere else. It may also be the way the dealer sets it up, but if you test it on yours and find out the pattern, it shouldn't change.

2) No, there is a TSB that fixes this problem. The replace the seat rails free of charge.

3) No, it should come out of both sides. Check your fader/audio controls and make sure everything is in the middle.

4) You can fix that. When it's in reverse, adjust the mirror where you want it to be, then the next time it will stay to where you adjusted it to. You can do this for either side. More info in your manual.

Thank you guys! This forum is so helpful. I am so used to getting **** on at S2KI. More of a "subscibe to be bashed" forum. Weird that the none of the tire pressure gauges worked but on my way back from disney world tonight the low tire pressure warning came on about halfway home and stayed on. My car was missing the manual but did order one. Having trouble figuring out this car. It should come with the voice training card right. It is now calling me Howard which sucks.$100 for the grill does not sound bad, I will let you know which I decide.About the pics: they were all taken at 5MP and are super large. I will need to photoshop them down when I get some time.

Thanks again,

Dave
