I read a post on here that indicated I should drill it at 3 inches over and 1 inch down. However that didn't work, the AN Nipple I JB welded on was too close to the power steering bracket and the female AN would not fit over top of it.

I'm on oil pan #2. Does anybody know if 2 inches down from the lip is too far. Will it put the return below the oil level?

Thanks

Yeah, I have this rule that says you can ask pretty much whatever questions you want as long as they are related to the KA24DET. If thye need to be closed or deleted I'll go ahead and handle it. I hate when people say "search". I'd rather you just didn't reply at all.

While on the subject of installing plug in the oil pan. Somebody told me about a self taping plug they use on transmission pans that could be used for the oil line for the turbo. Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks

A simple 5/8 barbed fitting from Home Depot will work great.

This is what mine looks like. It may be a little low though. I'm hoping it won't be a problem.

All the oil you see has been cleaned up and nothing leaks.

That's exactly where I'm putting mine.

It ended up being exactly 3 inches over and 1 3/4 inches down.

Thanks for the information.
