So, I'm a newbie at this and am trying to install my own double-din head unit.

See the photo below.

I have most of the wires connected to the Pioneer harness and the aftermarket harness.

--On the pioneer harness (black), these wires are not connected - Light green parking brake wire, black (ground), yellow/black, orange/white, violet/white (reverse gear signal input). I do not have an orange or blue wire.

--On the aftermarket harness (white), these wires are not connected - black, orange, blue.

I also have the following:

- Antenna adapter with a blue wire
- Parking Brake Bypass with black, blue, and green wire
- Light green bluetooth wire.

I need help on what to do with the remaining harness wires, the blue wire on the antenna adapter, the brake bypass 3 wires, and the bluetooth wire.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the Parking Brake Bypass, I connected black to black on the stereo harness, green to parking brake green, and blue to blue/white (System Remote Control). Hope that's right. Now, I just need to know what to do with the blue antenna wire and the bluetooth wire...as well as the extra wires on the harnesses I did not use.

If you got the gear from Crutchfield, try calling them. I remember when I first bought my new '01 Altima, I was on my back under the dash with the phone to my ear while one of their techs guided me how to wire in the sub I bought from them. They also might be able to send or email you a wiring diagram, or you could search for one online. I wish I could help directly, but good luck!!

Thanks KMiller. I'm just going to take it to an audio shop and have them install it for $45. :D

take the $45 route
use your magic, get them to show you what they're doing so next time you won't need them

DO let us know of the proper connections once done

So, I got my radio installed. It only took over 4 hours. Ugh! Sorry, forgot to ask about wiring and what not.

1. The darn radio itself doesn't work. I can't get any of the good stations. Don't know what's up with the antenna.

2. The guy that installed my stereo messed up my dash trying to remove the AC vent and the old radio. I told the owner and he is actually getting me a brand new dash. WOW!!! I also told him about the radio and he said he'll completely look over everything when I bring the car in to replace my dash. He knows I'll probably be giving him business in the future & referring my friend to him to get her stereo installed this weekend and I know he cares about his reputation, so he is doing everything he can. I'm actually impressed.
Anyway, here is what my dash looks like right now. It's not THAT bad, but it's still bad because when I took my car in to him, it was in perfect condition...and if you're suppose to be a "professional" audio installer, then you shouldn't jack up people's ish. It ended up costing me $70 because I had to get this new wire thing for the parking break bypass.

Sorry to hear about the damage. I know it's too late for this time, but if you wan't to remove it again, here's a video on 'DIY Reviews'. It took me about 10 minutes to take mine out to hook up a sub. Most people know that you pry plastic with plastic, or @ least cover a screwdriver or whatever with a rag. They also have instructions for just about everything. I found out how to replace taillight lenses, grille, & do other stuff.

No radio station could be 1 of 2 things. No adapter and that blue wire does need to be hooked up. As our cars don't have an old fashion antenna, it's built into the rear glass. It needs a remote (blue wire) to turn it on.

On most head units that can be defeated with a simple $4 switch and about a buck in wire! Also be careful with that bypass module, god forbid if something was to happen and you have that... you could be in deep s*** for having it!

Well, I didn't install my stereo, so the professional should have known what to do in regards to installing it. I did buy an antenna adapter for it. I don't know happened. The guy will just have to fix it when I take my car back for him to replace my entire dash.

About the bypass, what do you mean I could be in deep s*** for having it? Are we not allowed to do that? Everybody has been doing it to their stereo. I don't plan on watching videos when I'm driving.
