Well guys, its that time again! Tax return time that is...

With that being said, I'm looking at getting my little coupe some new wheels. I've really been eyeing OZ Racing Ultralegerros, as well as Enkei Pf-01 I think they are. That being said, I'm wondering where you guys bought your wheels at? Craigs List? Tirerack? Discounttiredirect? I'm curious because everywhere I look, more or less brands are offered (I've only found the OZ Racing on Tire Rack so far). (Also, Ultralegerros only come in 18 and 20, and I kinda wanted 19").

Any suggestions on where to buy would be awesome. I'm open to other brands as well if you guys have some suggestions. Wheels and tires together I've got a budget of about 2200 I've given myself. Buddy Club is somewhat appealing, and I've been thinking about going all out and getting some Rays Gramlights (little out of my budget).

Thanks again guys. I've never bought wheels before so I'm happy to receive any assistance from you guys.

CarID.com for me. Just waiting till they update their site with Varrstoen's in my situation.
Very well designed site, and they have great customer service, too.

They can also stretch tires, not sure if that's unique to the site, but just saying.

OZs are made in Italy, they are pretty popular in Europe. I believe that the tire rack is the only US authorize retailer for OZs, which is why they are difficult to find. The OZ Racing Ultralegerros were not made in 19 in, but the new OZ Racing Ultralegerros HLTs are. They are the exact same wheel, but HLTs are lighter and a little stronger(21 lbs). My guess is that they may cost a little more. They wont show up when you are looking for altima wheels or any nissan. But, they have them for 2010 mitsubishi evos. 19x 8.5, 38mm offset 5/114.3 bolt pattern. center bore for evos are 67.1 altima is 66.1 so a hubcentric might be required to help center the wheel. Tire rack has them. These should fit just fine.

Speaking of Varrstoen, does anybody on this forum run Varrstoen? I've read mixed reviews online, and couldn't hurt to get a few more from some guys I trust.

My brands have... expanded a bit based on what I've found browsing the interwebs.

Konig (Considering)
OZ Racing
Varrstoen
Vossen
Advanti
BBS (I saw a good deal on some, but I'm not in love with the design).

It is very hard to choose. I'm going to do a bit of searching through this forum as well, but I'd love opinions from guys who have run setups.

Devious has the ES 1.1.2, those are the wheels I'm getting, too.

Konig - I'm sponsored by Konig Wheels, so if you do choose that route.. I think I work out a discount for you.

OZ Racing - never heard of them.

Varrstoen - Legit. Not the best customer service but I have a lot of friends that run their wheels and they're pretty solid.

Vossen - Clean designs but way overpriced.

Advanti - OG wheels, again.. too expensive but awesome designs.

BBS - Baller wheels but it's a hit or miss. Depends on what style of wheels you choose.

That's my opinion, please take your time in deciding what you like. If you need help deciding what style fits your car.. then you're probably not ready to get new shoes yet.

Personally, I say stay away from Koenig (no offense Sano) and Varrstoen. IMO Koenigs and Varrstoens are just cheap knock off wheels.

OZ Racing and BuddyClub are OG, old old old brands that have faded into obscurity so I wouldn't mess with those. There are much better wheels out there for the same price.

Vossen imo is one step up from Koenig.

Avanti and BBS are legit wheel companies, but like Sano says they are baller status. Unless you're willing to fork out a lot of money for wheels, I'd steer clear.

If you're looking for something more mid-range that's legit, look into Volk, Work and Enkei. They're a bit more towards the pricey side of the spectrum but the quality is top tier. You can usually find them on craigslist with tires for a reasonable price too, just make sure the offsets are right!

I'm sponsored by a wheel company as well, I just won't say which one because I haven't decided on the set I plan on ordering yet! I know for a fact I'll be the first AC on this particular brand of wheel though because they're straight from Japan!

Varrstoen, I can agree with you on that since they just replica popular style wheels and sell them for a lower price. But Konig's been around since the start of the scene. They have their own original designs, and I'm not saying that because I'm sponsored by them. A lot of people think my wheels are replicas of the gramlights neochrome.. when in fact Konig was the first company to come up with the idea of neochrome wheels. And their execution of the idea is better than the Japs.

At the end of the day it's your decision whether if you wanna buy wheels like normal people or drop $4k+ on a set just because it says "Made in Japan" on it. And if you're going to start the argument that Jap wheels don't break and such... Youtube Ken Block goes drift session, see how many Jap wheels sets he goes through.

Wow. You guys think advanti is expensive? They've got 19" wheels you can buy for 199. I hope we are thinking of the same brand and not avant. I really like the Koenig and varrstoen and oz, so I think I'll debate between those three and post results. Thanks for the help gents.

http://www.advantiwheel.com/

Just to clarify, this is what I meant by Advanti.

I've seen some 19" wheels from them for $199 on tire rack. I wonder if you guys though I was talking about Avant? I know I've seen those at 1000 dollars a wheel. Definitely out of my price range.

I realized how rude I think I sounded in that last post, so I wanted to clear it up in case you guys thought I was being a tool.

Stick with volk, advan, work, BBS, nismo (which is Rays), and gramlights, but if you want to be a baller and get something no one really has...get some HRE's!! Hahah they will run you about 5k-8k without tires but you will one of a kind haha. Don't over do it with rims though its not a luxury car and you will want to switch out sooner than later if someone else gets your wheels and that wow factor runs out. Volks in my opinion are the best bang for your buck, look to get a used pair with tires and see if you like them.

I am paying nowhere near $4k for my new set. To each their own on their wheels; I'm not knocking you for your choice just giving my thoughts to the OP on the matter.

Also, they are Japanese not Jap; Jap is an outdated racist term so please stop using that abbreviation.
