i just bought my first 240, i have been in the rotary gang for a while, and im looking to change it up. i have been researching the common engine swaps and i really come to like the ca. but to the point im having troubles finding one lol. iam a pressed for money so a deal is what im looking for i guess. the best i found so far is a whole swap for $900 is that or can i find one for a better price?

thanks for your help

Pressed for money means leave it alone for now. Concentrate on the suspension and supporting cast before doing a swap.

Why swap anyway, what's wrong with the KA24?

If you are in a money pinch why would you make it worse by trying to immediately jump into a needless swap with a motor that will likely need a rebuild as soon as it comes off the pallet?

the issue more has become that all the suppliers cant get ahold of them. the ones they can get ahold of are not something you want.......

bout the only companys worth calling anymore are Jhot and jerco(is that the name? Im drawing a blank)...... this is assuming you want something worth having.

I feel your pain, my Skyline has ice cold AC but the design of the AC belt tensioner renders it impossible to get the ****ing belt on! I called my buddy who drove FJs in his young days and said "air con belt"? He just laughed and said "dikinai". (can't do it) I'm going to try a longer than stock belt.

Damn. Tell you what, in six years when the R32 is legal, you hit me up and I'll buy your '69 396 SS and we will trade. It had better be one bada$s R32GTR VspecII though. That Camaro isn't gonna be cheap. Now the question arises, who the hell would rightly choose a R32 GTR over something so ridiculously sick as a 69 Camaro SS?

In retrospect, the VspecII was only made in 94 and therefore would not be legal until 2019. Crap. i think i'll still buy the Camaro, I'll just lord it over you.

there will be a musclecar parked next to my Skyline if I can help it. They are actually not that expensive to purchase here, just a ***** with the taxes and inspection fees. Not including gas which is about $6.00 a gallon here and which it would swill like a frat boy, it would take about $2000 a year just to operate it.

yeah, but wouldn't it all be worth it to just dominate those little rice burners with massive American pushrod v8 power? Some jap guy in his supra thinks he's hot ****, and you rev that thing and he pees himself. Ive seen it a hundred times.

If you get one, I'll send you an "American by birth, Southern by the grace of God" front license plate. That'll show those foreigners who's boss.

Yeah, those front plates are a dime a dozen around here (sad but true).....I even think the local Rosco and Cleatus so called "local law" have them on the front of their cars.......I gotta move back to the left coast

How about a bumper sticker...lolhttp://www.stickergiant.com/Me...rg074

What the idiots that drive around with these or the front plates don't realize that this crap is probably made in China, like everything else from Walmart.....or like they say here, "Walmarts"

Yeah, Florida is not southern. Sorry, it may geographically lie in the south, but its not the south. Around here, its just ridiculous.

mmmm, I beg to differ....I grew up in Florida, and there are some areas that are just as redneck like as here, especially in the panhandle, not as heavily populated as here, but there are plenty of them there.....

They are of a different breed. North Florida is fairly backwoods and crazy, but you just can't beat the Great Smoky mountains for harboring the craziest individuals in the whole of the Confederate States of America.

sorry grew up in a town that literally had 2 gas stations.... and a town hall. thats it.

Grandpa owns one of the largest farms in orlando(yeah it is 35 acres on the outskirts of the city).

O well, the good news is he put a lift in the barn to work on all the cars we have.

You mean there is still farm land down there? I lived in Brandon for a few years, and left for Cali in '02, but most of the orange groves were gone, from how I remember it as a kid, when we would go down to Disney. Seems like there were orange groves for ever between Tampa and Orlando. As an adult my wife and I always enjoyed the town of Winter park. Nice area. Never made it any farther over to Lake Mary

I took the train to Tamp Florida. The land as far as the eye could see was full bore redneck. Florida is not Miami. I actually put Yosemite Sam mud flaps on one of my Silvias.
