Hi all!

New memeber, I currently own a 98 grandprix gtp, mid-heavily modded running low to mid 13's.

I've always been an American car fan, but love the look, interior and performance the g35 brings to the table.

I plan on purchasing a new or used model within the next year and have been looking around for modifications and came across this site. I have a few questions that would help me out a lot.

1. What's a good website or 2 that offers aftermarket g35 parts 2. Is an 06 a better car than the 07, car&driver/motertrend say there isn't a huge difference. 3. How much do turbos go for? 4. Any other good forums and/or clubs out there on the net?

btw I prefer to do anything that doesn't require welding or a lift myself

Hey Belo!! Welcome to NICO!!

1) best website that I know of for parts, service and price is Everythingg35.com ask for Joe when your ready he is extremley helpful!

2) 06and 07 are very similiar, if not in a rush...I would definitley wait for the 08 for some really sweet changes!! Click on my picture in my sig. for more info.

3) Turbos go from about 5k ++ for something decent

4) I promise you this is the only forum you will ever need for any info. or advice on your car. We have over 50000 members and growing everyday. Extremely knowledgable members and staff as well as online mechanics. there is no question that can't be answered about the G here. as for local clubs...try here zeromain?id=21

Hope this helps and enjoy your stay!! Keep us posted on your decision

Thanks for the input. Can't seem to find any sites selling body kits. Are these not popular?

If I get a g35x can I still put a spoiler on? I know this option including the agresive styling is only offered on the sport package, but living in buffalo I want awd. Can I aftermarket these appearance upgrades?

Belo to be honest this car has many body kits for the car,but if you are looking for that truely unique jdm style body kit break out the plastic. I can link a site to you,but trust me, they are expensive. Here is one,and these are probably some of the top names in jdm gear. They have some really nice body kits for this car,and the problem is I'm fixated on the most expensive....Top Secret....yummy. http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com You can find other body kits around, all you have to do is google it,and there are some really nice ones on here.I'm really liking the GReedy kit so far,and it's not to bad on the budget.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping that when I graduate this May, money wont be as big an issue as it has been in the past.

I'm not entirely sold on a body kit. I'm vary anti-rice, hence the gtp, but I do love the g35 and am a big fan of seperating myself from stock cars. I put a ram air hood on my gtp and it made all the difference.

Is there anything anyone else would recommend besides a kit for an appearnce upgrade?

Thanks in advance.

Belo...I understand your desire to look different than the crowd. One option would be a widebody kit made by APR -- it's the kit Im looking at. You can read up on it at http://www.aprperformance.com/index.php

As for non-body kit external upgrades, there are the usual suspects (hoods, wings, skirts, etc.). There are a virtual plethera of them out there, so just do your homework and pick what's best for you.

Enjoy the car when you get it -- there aren't very many out there that are as fun to drive as the G!!!
