Fellas,

My tires are close to be fully exploited and I am thinking on having a big suspension job done on my Q '94 with 133k. Here is the stuff I need:1. Tires2. Rims.3. Tokico blues on all four wheels.4. Eibach springs.

If you happened to shop for these, please suggest what places offer bargain prices. Also, a quick question about eibachs. Do the ones on 300Z fit Q45 since I could not find Eibachs for Q45 per se.

Thanks a lot,Andre.

Blues from Joe

Springs are a rare find, but come here and there.

Ive alwayd liked Tire Rack for tires.

Wheels I usually buy local from classifieds.

1.) I like tire rack. Choose which tire you want and go from there.

2.) Wheels are all over but be sure of whom you trust. Joe can get good deals on Volk and Nismo. TR is the Us distributor for OZ. Used wheels are a real crapshoot and should always be checked against OEM specifications before being purchased.

3.) Joe, along with all the rubber parts.

4.) No longer made. There's a few threads, but springs won't do alot for your performance over stock. And lowering may introduce other measures that need to be taken. Look at Wes's setup and read Q45tech's posts.

andre your not gonna find any lowering springs except from someone selling them here.... I have a set of eibachs in my attic but I am VERY reluctant to sell them.... You may have to get lucky on ebay or on here, but everyone is holding tight to their springs..... i REALLY should have bought an extra set of cali customs to hold over everyone's heads

in your case to sorta make up for not lowering, id run a slightly taller tire, maybe a 245-45-18 or a 255-45-18 if you want to run an 18... 245-40-19 or 255-40-19 if you wanted to run a 19...... speedo will be off a little but its not a TON... probably wont really notice it much anyway.... the taller tire will help fill in the fender gap a little..... looks bad when you run a low profile tire with no lowering springs...

id go ahead and keep your stock springs, and get your tokicos with new blues, new upper links and tension rods (either OEM or adjustable, id go with my adjusties so you can get alignment perfect, plus no more replacing the bushings)..

best thing you can do is get the Q45a rear sway bar... definitely plan on doing that with the tokicos, and then decide how you want to modify your multilink from there....

for wheels the best value vs. quality is OEM takeoff wheels... maxima, 350Z, G35, etc wheels look great on the Q, and even ones for the lighter cars are going to be better quality than most aftermarket, cheaper, and lighter.... average cast wheel from nissan weighs probably around 20-25lbs, cast wheels of similar strength in aftermarket brands are gonna be a lot heavier, or a lot more expensive if you want to trim your weight down...

Best wheels IMO are any 350Z wheels that arent the 17s, and the G35 wheels that are the 17s.... the 19in forged rays from the G35 might be a nice choice but tires are expensive.... you could also consider FX45 20in wheels.. 20 in tires are cheaper than 19s!

Thanks guys. I checked Pirelli PZero Nero M&S (w rating) 245/45/18 they run $208 a piece at tirerack. Seem like a bargain. I think I will go with these. Have not decided on rims yet. Where can I buy the OEM for nissan, Wes?

Like Wes says, you could do worse, and you could do better.

Since the tires are the only component that interfaces with the road, one has to define the term "bargain."

FWIW i really think pirelli tires are overpriced.... you cna get similar performance for much less money.... Im only using the pirelli tires on my car becuase of the ridiculously good deal i got on them (200 for a set of 4 off ebay, which i still have to replay keith for )

Andre itd be helpful to get some feedback on what your thinking as far as how hardcore your gonna go with the suspension, what size wheel you want to run, and whta else....

Start by looking on ebay for NISSAN WHEELS and INFINITI WHEELS. Anything that was OEM is gonna be money, and that has a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Note the new M35/M45 wheels cant* be used because the offset is too high.

*sans spacer, of course.

You can look for Y33 Q45 rims, even 02-05 Q rims fit right on there. Also FX35 18" and 20" rims will bolt right on. I have some M45 rims that i will fit with 25mm spacers, but if I had it to do over again I would have gotten the 02' Q or FX rims. The OEM specs are best to get balanced in my experience.

Wes,

What I was thinking is to go with 18" and I saw on ebay bunch of wheels from G35 are sold for $495. Do you think these will fit? I am not sure what do you mean by using spacers. What these are for, where can I buy them and how do I install them?

I will probably buy four tokico, four dust boots, four bumpers, two front springs OEM (I think mine are sagging and causing inside wear on the front tires), wheels, and tires. This would be my upgrade.

Wes, what is your phone number (my PDA battery died and I lost all my contacts ...).

Thanks,Andre.
