Well, im finally getting my new struts installed. but the fronts are being royal b****es. the lower two bolts will not break lose and we've tried everything. soo, incase i have to cut them, where would be a good place to get some replacement bolts for the struts. i know its a 17mm bolt and nut, but i wanted something close to if not OEM. thanks

call a dealer and find out how much they want for them. i know the autoparts stores have random bolts and nuts, just make sure they're high grade. stock suspension stuff is very strong, i cut off my rear lower bolts and it took a long time using air tools. 2 new bolts and 2 new nuts cost me $20 from the dealer, and the guy gave me a really good deal on them.

if that doesn't work, i've got some zipties and coat hangers you can use.

Are you using a breaker bar?

I've got a Canadian model (rust) and I'm definately no hulk, but with a breaker bar all my strut bolts came off.

Anyway, usually junk yards are littered with s13's, so if you cut one, you can get them for probably a dollar from a yard.

Good luck.

by breaker bar, he means use a 6ft steel tube on top of your socket wrench...
