hey all

so my muffler special is so sunken in on my work 9 rear bumper and it looks so stupid

so im considering taking my stock exhaust that i have after i pass smog and cutting off the muffler and welding on some victory pipes i already got the basic idea as to how im going to go about welding this thing

just dont know where to buy piping from

anybody here made exhausts, intercooler piping, etc...that could tell me a good place to get like 5 feet of 2.25 - 2.5" piping?

Ask the muffler shop.

Steel prices have come down. I'm sure you could get it for under $50.

5 feet though? :wtf2:

i imagine he's going to cut that in half and have 2 retarded looking pipes pointing up in the air. i'm so glad i've never encountered this in person, i'd be so tempted to do awful things.

well i ask cause the local shops around here are janky

they wanted to charge me 450 bucks for 2.5 piping to muffler from the cat back

i was like WTF? your out of your mind

i figure 5 feet would be plenty with room to have extra just in case

i would need to extend the stock piping the length of the stock muffler then make the split and then roughly 1 8" and 1 10" pipe

figure thats about 3 feet of straight piping and about almost a foot in the angling of the piping with that extra foot in case i mess up

Yes your muffler shops are ripping you off.

Way back I had a muffler mounted from cat back for $60, included pipe and labor.

Do you think a muffler shop would do inter-cooler pipes?

Yellow pages or internet. I found a place in my city that does only metal piping. Called them and said "I'd like 1 foot of 2 inch aluminum pipe."

eh, dumb. MY friend just bought a $65 cat off ebay and got a straight back exhaust done for like $120 installed. If they can weld good they can make anything you want.

Hold on... You're seriously thinking about putting those stupid f*** pipes on your car? You should sell your car for scrap metal while you're at it too. And they're called victory pipes? They should be called failure pipes.
