For me fixing things is easy, but finding the decent part can be another story. I am looking at ACU AUTO HP here in the Toronto area, for 2 front rotors and ceramic pads. At $105.00 CDN including taxes I think not bad for 2 drilled and plated rotors and 2 sets of pads are ceramic, which I have now had on for 2 years.

My existing front right rotor is original and becoming less useful, but to extend its life I have ground the inside surface by hand many times, but it will be scrap in time.

For those in Canada who do you use for parts?

Next I am planning installing a 11000 lb winch and my investigation has found Runva, a Chinese maker. It is very similar in size, looks and weight to Warn. I know and have used Warn for 20 years, but the price has me interested. Thoughts please and are you aware of a bumper or frame addition to either front or rear for a winch. I am thinking the 2" receiver or install it in side the rear with a pulley system to haul the vehicle to the front and rear.

My QX4 is a 1997 that I have owned and maintained for about 14 years and no rust damage as the recall looks for, not to say there is no rusting, just the rear window lower trim. At 250,000 km everything is well behaved but it will need all season tires come Spring.

Where do you shop and /or buy your parts, tires and accessories? Thanks for the help. My present jobber has become very expensive for his Chinese parts. I have read here that the rubber CV boots should remain OEM.
