Anyone who is an HKS dealer should be able to get them for you. I will warn you though, a part like that is generally special order and you may end up waiting a few weeks for it. Just shoot off some emails to your favorite e-retailer inquiring about it. Also, let us know here who has them. I am interested in getting one also and also the prices on them.
Quote »Im interested in running an apexi power flow air filter....where can i find one that fits the ca?
Am I correct in assuming that it is just a filter then? If you still have to retain the stock intake arm, then you can use the MAF plate adaptor for a KA24DE. It works on my setup. I don't know how different an SR one is, but if it is close enough you can just slot out the holes a bit.
Quote »What spark plugs should i buy and what should i gap them?
I bought NGK BCPR6ES-11's from PepBoys for like 1.79 each. Those are the standard heat range. If you want colder you have to get BCPR7ES-11's (stock number 3330) and generally they have to order them. The gap is .039in-.043in or 1.0mm-1.1mm, take your pic. I run them on the smaller end to combat blow out.
Quote »Im picking up my motor tommorow and im going to begin to rebuild it in the coming weeks. I am going to purchase-hks headgastket-new stock head studs-timing belt-new factory water pump-new oil pump-entire engine gasket kit? does this exist... i thought i heard it did-resurfaced flywheel-spark plugs-thermostat for my s14 radiator-new clutch-spec stage 3-forged pistons-still debating*Is there anything that im missing?
Entire gasket kit exists, buy one for the CA18DE Pulsar NX motor. Should be everything you need including the headgasket. But if you really want to go with ALL the gaskets, you will need the turbo gaskets from a 300ZX for the manifold to turbo gasket. The turbo outlet gasket, and also the o2 housing gasket. If you buy an aftermarket downpipe (which I didn't see listed) then you usually get the downpipe flange gasket and also the gasket to the cat.
Also, you need a thermostat for the motor... not the radiator.
Things I see missing.....Fluids (oil, coolant, transmission fluid)Hoses (radiator, rear coolant, and fuel lines)Filters (fuel and oil)Fuel PumpDownpipeIntercooler Charge PipingTiming Belt TensionerClutch cover boltsPiston rings (if going forged pistons)Wires for your rewiring that you need to doSolderElectrical TapeShrink WrapWire LoomBoost Gauge??
It's all that little crap that drives up the cost of swapping.
Quote »While im rebuilding the motor is there anything else i should inspect and possibly replace?-i will check the cams-and the bearings
Take off the starter and alternator and take them to AutoZone and have them checked to see if they are still good. Also I think they can check ignition coils too, so may want to do that. Also check the splines on the exhaust camshaft going into the CAS. Sometimes (not always) they get worn down and have a hard time keeping the timing. Also do a compression and leakdown before you get it, and also after you do the headgasket. If you do forged pistons, the block needs to be honed. And if you are going to do all that, might as well have the head worked on while it is apart, little port work and a 3 angle job should work wonders.
Check your oil and coolant lines to and from the turbo. Make sure there are no foreign objects in them and not all coked up either. Don't want to seize that turbocharger.
