Hey guys,

I'm looking for a place that sell some new old stock for datsun/nissan. I have S12 200sx, yes it's a silvia and I think this the last time it has datsun by nissan badges. once upon a time when I was a toddler this car is the s**t and has some performance support, but most is long gone. and I'm hoping if some of you guys can point me out to the right direction.

I'm looking for a set of KONI Sport rear shocks and front strut cartridge insert for 280zx that I can use for 1985 S12 200sx (or seems all the thread from club S12 said). I'll be sporting some stiffer and lower spring and for now I'm gathering parts

I've emailed KONI and classicgarage regarding this, no result. koni reps has no clue what he's talking about and classic garage email said they only had KYB gas-adjust which is a fancy name for stock shocks. I'm gonna call them sometime next week.

So, all of you datsun/nissan lover please help me if you can.

Thanks,Pat

you can use Koni yellows on it.

are your current shocks blown on it? Or are you just looking for something stiffer?

thanks for the reply

yep, current rear shocks blown and leaking. most likely it some kind of monroe or ac delco.

yeah I'm looking for koni yellow. the only place I know on the internet that used to carry koni sport shocks for 1985 S12 200sx is classicgarage.com, but they're out of stock, and koni has stopped making it ages ago. HKS used to carry performance line up for S12, but again, those stuffs are long gone.

I don't want to go custom, coz I don't know what the spec and things like that. hybrid from other car is more than welcome.

honestly KYBs are pretty good. While they maybe "stock" new KYBs will definately perform better than very tired and worn out KYBs.

When doing the suspension on my 510 I was frequently told to use the KYBs due to how affordable they were but also you get the most bang for the buck.

If you want highend performance stuff you can always look in to tokico stuff. Spendy but very high quality.

Have you posted on any S12 related forums? I know there are a few out there. They might have the connections you are looking for...

no need to do that...just look for two front 280zx and two rear Z31 shocks.

they bolt in....no mods needed.

are you currently using it for a daily driver?

sadly...we don't have that many S12 owners here...though they do pop in from time to time.

I've also to an '85 Turbo that I've yet to get around to working on...

yes I'm using it as DD and occasional auto-x. it's somewhat non operational coz it's getting a new exhaust. I'm telling you if you bolted something for 22 years it become 1 solid piece...

custom made 3 inch stainless on S13 T25. a resonator and magnaflow highflow perforated muffler. a bit big for my squirell turbo (hey I just upgraded from chipmunk turbo), but it's the same price for 2.5...the shop couldn't get a hold of any stainless 2.5 inch

we had to use plasma cutter and air chisel to get one bolt off.

can't argue with that....

I've got an S13 turbo laying around too...probably gonna get it sent off and rebuilt while I collect parts necessary to put a CA20 intake mani and FMIC set up on it...in the mean time though...I need to get it running and on the road.
