Mabe this should be in the buy/sell section but, I think I will get a better responce here.

Im looking to buy some elbows and tees to weld up my mani this coming weekend. The problem is the few places I have found want like $15-20 for just one tee. I dont know much about pipe but that seems like a lot to spend. That would run me about $50 for two tees and two elbows just for a log mani. There has to be a better source for these parts. If I could find this stuff cheaper I could practice a bit on welding an equal length manifold.

Any help in locating these materials would be very appriciated.

$50 for manifold piping is a good price. It's not $1.98 a T like the schedule 40 at the hardware store.

Thanks again for those pics of your setup a couple weeks ago. Hows everything running? Anything I should watch out for when I do my install? BTW did you use mcmaster parts? If so could you give me the part numbers of the tees and elbows you used?

I get T's for $8 and elbows (tight radius) for about $2.50. The price is about the same for 1 1/4 or 1 1/2. Weldable mild(?) steel. They work great for manifolds. I don't think they have a website, but PM and I'll send you the tele number and/or part numbers. Justin

I bought a jgs kit, it was pretty expensive. I cant weld things air tight yet, so I had to have others do it for me. Im learning how, but I wanted to get things done so I wasted all of my budget on someone else welding my stuff together.

If you can do a good job, or find some really cheap labor, the Ts and 90*s would be the way to go.

my car was running great before I had to abandon it a few days ago to return to school. when I get home for spring break there should be a few updates.

even those "high" prices are cheap, I paid 270 for mine and it ended up costing me 500 bucks total, because welding for me was really expensive.

Well the welding is cheap all it costs me is about three or four beers for several hours of welding. hehehe I will have to pay the labor back by wiring my buddies standalone ECU when he is ready though.

I guess you are right about the price. My firend pointed out that the elbows and tees are forged pices too. So I guess thats why they are a little more expensive. I dont want to pay much for the tees though because I plan on building up a equal length manifold after I finish some welding classes in the spring.

Man ftrs13 that sucks, to just finish a project like that and have to leave the car for months. I feel for ya man.

I know I did, but I had to get it done quick between chrstmas and new years, and the guy that I know who would do it for me cheap was sick in florida ...

I had to take a hit, but I saved money on other parts, so overall it didnt come out too bad

Ughhh.. well im gunna bite the bullet and buy some either from mcmaster or JGS. At least if I buy the ones from JGS they will be here in like 2 days. I still think its too much to pay for some cheap a$$ mild steal plumbing.

Im just missing two pices of the kit now. Injectors and fuel pump. I need ot find an SR20 and gank its injectors.
