I just bought a salvaged '07 G35x and I need front-end parts:

headlightsboth fendershoodgrillbumper coverbumper supportradiatorfans/shroudradiator supportdriver's air bag & modulefront windshield and rear glassand other misc parts

There aren't many '07-'08's in salvage yards yet so I'm having a hard time locating parts. I'll buy some parts new, but the nearest dealer to me is 250 miles away (Bloomington, MN). Where can I find parts at a reasonable cost?

Thanks!Jake

Your going to spend a lot hope you got a good deal on the wreck! All the damage could be done in an accident less then 20 mph. Insurance studied showed the 07 + G35 is one of the most exspensive cars to repair.http://www.iihs.org/news/rss/pr080207.html

$1400 headlights$500 both fenders$550 hood$125 grill$200 bumper cover & bumper support$450 radiator$300 fans/shroud$300 radiator support$1900 driver's air bag & module$200 front windshield $100 rear glass--------------------------------------Parts total $ 6025

+ Paint to match all the body parts ($2000)+ Shipping ($1000 ?)+ your time

Looks like about $9k in damage if nothing else is wrong.... I paid $28k for my G35 sedan with 16k miles on it at an Infiniti dealership.

I saw a White 2007 G35 sport at auction with similar front end damage sell for a little over $9,000 but I couldn't imagine having $18,000 + tied up in a wrecked car.

Post before and after pictures!

Thanks, guys.

I've done quite a few repairables in the past but this is my first Jap car and I really like it. I should have it all finished for around $16k (plus blood, sweat, tears, etc) but at least I'll have fun doing it. And with the help of these forums and the service manuals this car should be an EZ fix. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

Well you know I was originally a Dodge guy so I'm used to helping people fix broken trucks LOL

Jake!
Your right it should be an easy fix.... check the upper control arms and drag links too.. chances are if your doing fenders your going to do some suspension too. Either that or you will never be able to get the car in alignment and it will EAT front tires like mad. I'd go with new dealer parts for the suspension too because the salvage yard parts are 50/50 bent.

If you can do paint yourself you can save some money. What color is the car? White is almost impossible to match so I hope its not white!

I painted my Rams, bed cover, roll pan, door handles and mirrors myself and the roll pan never matched the rest of the truck. I gave up after 3 trys LOL.
