I bought an S14 with a Bee*r exhaust and it's just too much for me. It has a 5" outlet on the muffler, a test pipe (no cat), etc. I think a basic silencer for any 5" outlet would work, right? Something like a Apex'i should fit?

Silencers defeat the whole purpose of having an aftermarket exhaust. Sounds like a bee with a diarrhea fart.

I am planning to tear the car down next year for a rebuild and LSx swap. What do you suggest I do, just leave it alone and go deaf over the next year? I don't see a point to buying another exhaust for a year and then having to sell it at a loss. I just want it quieter to drive around the next year. "sounding like poop" isn't that bothersome to me. I have a DC Sports cat-back on my Versa with a silencer to reduce the noise to a tolerable level for daily commute. That is why I'm asking about it. Ringing ears isn't something I want to entertain anymore than I have to.

Any silencer of the same diameter should work, just the matter of finding it. Try ebay maybe? I've got to find 2 silencers for my Vert as well.
