I have been looking around and found a 240sx that I am very interested in. It has around 100,000 miles on it but I was going to put a turbo on it. I don't want to put that power on a engine that won't handle it. I have looked around but haven't found anything yet. Anyone have a good site that I can buy a decent engine that will handle a turbo at?

search my friend, there are some engines here that have twice that with a turbo on..

i always tell my uncle, who drives a billion miles in a day, 100000 miles is just past break in...

check compression, read stickies...boost away

For example: me. If youre worried at 100k than maybe I should start getting worried about my 200k lol. I slapped my turbo on at 190k, still no motor probs with 10psi at 220k(knock on wood). I figure with high mileage you can either rebuild before you boost, or after something fails with boost; haha, might as well do the fun part first.

Most dealers/websites will be way overpriced.

Check your local forums and junkyards.

And you're worried about 100,000 miles? lol

Thanks a lot everyone. I had no idea the stock engine was so durable. I wouldn't boost it more than 7psi anyway just for a DD with some power. The car I was going to get fell through so I am looking in the classifieds now to try to find something. I'm definatly hooked on 240's now, awesome cars.
