Where the hell is my oil going?!?!?

Fresh KADE rebuilt a little over a year ago with about 17K miles. Over the past few months I have been losing oil pretty consistently to the tune of about a pint every 3 days or roughly 125 miles driven.

The car does not smoke, and there is no noticeable evidence of a leak substantial enough to justify a quart of oil weekly. I have parked the car consistently in the same spot both at work and home with no oil drops visible. I have parked the car on a sheet of cardboard for a few days to no avail. Well, my power steering hose was leaking so it was not a complete waste.

There is a little oil residue around the back of the head, but a new valve cover gasket remedied that. There is the usual oil residue around the oil filter housing, but again no stream of oil to justify the amount of oil that dissapears.

Obviously the oil vanishes while driving, but even laying under the car with the engine idling revealed nothing. Any ideas? By the way the coolant is clean and the engine pulls strong with no hesitation or smoking of any kind.

I'm having the same issue actually. I freshened the engine with new seals a couple of K ago. I also did the PCV valve. Thats the only thing I can think of. It sure isn't ring leakage, I get 190 on a compression test!

Anybody have any ideas? That pcv is such a pain to get to I haven't had time to bypass it yet.
