where the heck is the knock sensor on 94 J30?

car won't start, cranks over and kind of makes puffing noise like it's trying, ECM gives code for knock sensor and also code 51 for "injector analysis", please tell me the knock sensor is accessible without removing the freaking engine...

hate to tell u but it isnt...u have to remove both upper and lower plenums...there are threads on relocating it...i decided to replace it all together though...plus it gave me an excuse to add a few things while its off...

I have heard of people just disconnecting the harness as well and putting a resistor in its place, what size resistor and where is the harness located that needs to be disconected and jumped across with the resistor?? This car won't start until I do this so help please!!

Knock sensor retards the timing.Doubt it would keep the engine from starting.

if your have code 51 then do a search on it...i know ive seen a few things here and there

that has a lot of info about the knock sensor. but the car should run without it working properly. it just goes crazy sluggish at times.
