where the does the wire go

I have found a wire that that isn't connected to anything. It's by the oil filter its black about a quarter inch thick and has a red stripe on it. looks like it would ground somthing. Need help pleeeseeee

Only thign over there is oil pressure sending unit, alternator and starter.... Check them. Pic would help us

thats either connected to your alternator or you manifold , im pretty sure its your alternator........
