Long story short, my key fob fell out of my left pocket while driving to work yesterday morning.OK, so when I stopped I got out to find it and it was GONE. Oh, it was still "in" the car because the ignition was still active, but the damn fob was no where to be found and that proved disturbing as it fell out on the left and shouldn't have been hard to find.

Took it into the dealer and it turns out that it slid into the rail system that is mounted to the floor of the car. LAME.Why in the hell wouldn't they close that hole up?

I was seriously starting to lose it looking for that fob too, it was raining and it was like the damn thing vanished into the Bermuda triangle...

ahahaha

Glad you got your fob. Welcome to the club.I have that all the time. Change, key, cell phone. I had once going under the carpet. Best you can do is lift the seats all the way up and do a big search. Next time anyways.

Thanks guys, it truly was disturbing, and infuriating!

On the upside they found my keys, on the downside I sat in the G37 Coupe....now I REALLY REALLY want one. That interior is sooooo choice. Now I'm toying with getting out of my G35 lease early...

STUPID $^@&$ING FOB!!!

I wonder if that's where my wife's bluetooth earbud thing went?! I looked all over the place for that thing... is there actually a way for things to slip under the carpet?

Yes right beside the track.

First time I did not see that. You have to be all the way to the front and up with the seat. Then you can see a little cut out.

See pictures.

I pulled it up a little so you can see that better.Zozo

I may have to look one more time for the missing bluetooth... I hope Hoffa didn't eat it.

Next time, get yourself a handy magnet stick/pole used for picking up nails and small hidden metallic parts. My keys get lodged sometimes in hard to find places in my car, and i always get to it with the magnetic stick/pole. I think the stick/pole costs less than $10. Just my 2 cents.

I will going forward! Good idea!

It was just so bizarre that I couldn't fathom that it went where it did.
