I read the thread as, "where's your pen15 now?" I promptly grabbed mine and gave it a loving squeeze. Anyone else?

Someone needs to convert a Prius to a 1400 lb-ft of Cummins turbo torque.

the prius has such s*** build quality that if you put any larger a motor in it, it'd probably shake the door panels loose.

DO EET.
Make sure your exhaust exits exactly at car windshield height.
If someone tailgates you, promptly hit the go-pedal and give em a good black cloud of "eff you". >:]

Cool to see, but this also disappoints me. It perpetuates the stereotype that diesels are dirty.

They need to take a page from Le Mans.

Looks like they stretched the body and chassis by making it a 4-door.

Always wanted to put a 3cyl Perkins out of a reefer unit in a Prius and tune is to smoke NO MATTER WHAT.

Looking at the vid I would say the chassis was that long to accommodate the transmission, and an appropriate length drive shaft.

Got a Kubota (I think) 3-cyl diesel sitting here, not being used... It's already got a T28 (IIRC) on it. It was from the DesertFuel test mule.

Have you driven one? I've had to park three of them. You don't realize how much fail that car really is until you're forced to drive one.

Is i still a bandwagon if I hated them before they were ubiquitous? ;)

They're nothing more than an expensive way to fool yourself (and your dumb neighbors) into thinking you're actually doing some holier-than-thou thing to protect the planet.

precisely... the production process that goes into making that car is never made up for by the sorta ok gas mileage it gets when viewed at from an environmental standpoint

so yes... the tree huggers are actually killing trees by driving priii....
