Hey guys. I am having oil pressure problems with my 1990 Nissan Axxess. It has a KA24E engine. I want to change the oil pump but where is it? How hard is it to do. The engine will still be in the van. In case anyone is unfamiliar with this van, it has a Ka24e engine but the engine sits in the vehicle like a stanza, not like a 240. I am pretty good at working on engines, just have never changed an oil pump before.

Thanks guys

It's on the other end of the distributor shaft on the SOHC KA. Assuming everything is the same on the front of a block between a 240sx and the Axxess. I only know this from doing a timing chain replacement on a SOHC KA, but IIRC, it's fairly simple to remove. At most, you may need to remove the distributor assembly as well. I have the whole front apart so I didn't have to remove only the pump. And it's been quite a few years so I can remember if the distrubutor shaft had the gear to the crank on it or the oil pump did.

Hey man, sorry I've got you talking on 2 different posts about basically the same problem. Thanks for the advise though.
