Where's Blink0r or Fryrice or some of the 240sx.org peeps?
Yeah, i remember that. I bought mine last may, but i had been looking for one for a few months before then and before then i was looking for an old Z. when i got my car, no one knew what it was or that it was any good. now, when i go places people ask if its got an SR. This one little kid came up to me as i was doing something under the hood and asked if it was turbo'd and he was like 14!!!!!!!
but back to the real topic, we have lost some good guys, but also gained some good ones.

I bought my car before even *I* new what the heck it was. I just new it looked awesome, heheh. Then I got on 240sx.org and started soaking up the info, and haven't stopped yet. I wish our cars were still the cars that got those funny glances and had people asking "what is that?!" I miss the old days

3 years, huh? well i like puppy dogs and kitty cats. that and im only 18, so i couldnt have had my car for more than a year. my first car was a big ole ford truck. she was a beast and fun to drive. but i've been a car nut for some time, so i guess im not too mch of a nOOb.

:Werd I was looking for a 300zx and found the 240, my first question to the dude selling it was "is it front wheel drive?" I was just going to buy it cause it was cheap and good looking and wasnt a domestic peice of crap.

yeah, it's even made me think about selling the 240, i don't like being grouped together with all the ricers around here with the s13's and the high hopes and dreams of sr20det dawg... even though i have an s14, i just find myself being less interested in it, heh, probably no one here remembers Shawn or even when his car was running =[ ahh those were the days....:rolleyes

Man, i know EXACTLY wat u mean with the S13's runnin around here, its kinda rediculous....only S13s i see are multicolored with either fart pipes or mufflers cut off, then they put flame graphics and large wings on...its sad.

I'm betting that most of the other guys like me who quit posting share my reason: We're really friggin busy. I hope none of them quit posting because of newbs.
I can understand the problem with seeing riced-out 240s everywhere; there was a canary yellow 240 in my area :puke, until it got smashed up in a wreck. I think you're seeing more riced s13s than s14s, because they're cheaper. I can certainly understand your woes over because asking if you have a SR and the confused looks on their faces when you say you'd rather turbo the KA. It's really funny if they ask what the KA is. I really love people's reaction when I tell them that I'd rather modify my suspension than my engine. Why not? 240s excell in cornering, and I love cornering.
Trends come and go, but true enthusiasts remain. - This is a good quote, please use it. Bottom line: if you really like your 240, stick with it. Hey, at least aftermarket manufacturers are making stuff for us now.

Well it's not like Shawn died or something. Although he doesn't have a 240 anymore and lives in Sweden, but I think most people know (of) him atleast. He's still on AIM quite often.
