Where is your tack supposed to be at 60 MPH?

Mine is almost at 3000 RPM. This seems pretty high. Also when I am driving 70-80 on the highway I am up to 4000 RPM. Would driving like this all the time hurt the car?

Mine is right around 3k, I am not sure but it may also vary with which version of motor you have, kae or kade, but I could be very very wrong on that.

I'm assuming he's in fifth gear if its a manual. Otherwise why bother posting? WWDD, are you driving an auto or a manual? My 96 is around the same rpms when I'm in 5th gear. This shouldn't hurt the engine. Remember your max torque is at 4500.

my 91 240 auto in od at 60 is about 2200.

my 89 auto at 60mph is around (with overdrive ON) is around 2500rpms ... maybe 2600 ... hard to say my speedo broke a while ago.

my 5 speed 95 is around 2500-2700 in 5th depending on whether or not it's engine braking or pulling. usually its 2600 if i'm perfect on the throttle (to keep it at 60).
