i just istalled fogs on my V. I used clipsed DUY instructions (thank man) Anyway i dont like the switch located next to the gas and hood release. It seems too low. So I was wondering if anyone else had other suggestions. I considered placing it nex to the dimmer switch, where the sunroof switch would have been if i had one. Has one done this? have any pics? did you remove the whole thing or simply drill a hole and slide the switch in?

That is where I have mine. It raps around where the steering wheel adjustment is. I just don't move the steering wheel at all so its fine. BTW add store bought 3M tape after because the stuff that comes attached the fog switch usually sucks.

If you remove the blank next to the dimmer, you can see on the back that it is sized for a mini rocker. If you cut out the rectangle, a lighted mini will fit perfectly. I'll post a pic of mine tomorrow.

np, you could always place the switch over under the stereo, the lil blank cover. A rocker would be PERFECT there. I am actually tweaking my fogs at the moment, trying something new out.

I've seen at least one other person say that. Are some of the sunroof switches down there? Mine's up by my bluetooth microphone...

I changed my switch location to your location, versabundus!! I finally figured how to get the blank section out.

Since I didn't know what I had to do to remove the blank, I removed the entire switch panel. First, I rmoved the fuse access door below and the access panel on the left. A thin blade was used to wedge out the left access panel. The switch panel has three small screws holding it in front the back side (top, left and right. A stubby phillips head works best.

The blank is held in place with two notched tabs, one on the top and one on the bottom of the back side. If you can get a thin blade between the knotched tab of the panel and the top or bottom of the blank, the blank will pop out toward the back.

The following picture is of different notched tab item under the dash, but it will give you the idea:

That was the only place where it looked ok to me. At the time, I was thinking about trying to use the headlight switch, but didn't want to risk screwing something up.
